Breakdown Of Independent Pro Baseball Tryout

This video recaps the Pensacola Pelicans’ open independent pro baseball tryout which was held in 2009.  The Pelicans were a part of the American Association at the time.

Note how the first test is the 60 yard dash and then arm strength is tested thereafter.  This video describes a likely open pro baseball tryout you will be attending in the coming months, so if you have not yet attended any tryout camps then watch this video to get a good idea of what is being sought.

Also realize that they really don’t care about your college statistics, awards, or other accolades coming out of college.  Independent baseball teams have a need for players who can help them win today, not months down the road after they are “developed”.  So be sure that you are prepared to have the best tryout of your life when you attend any of the upcoming tryout camps.
